This is a mid-WWII, Luger production commercial Mauser Banner P.08 Luger pistol chambered in 9 mm Luger. These Lugers usually exhibited excellent workmanship with a high quality all salt blue finish and walnut grips. The chamber is stamped "42", and the Mauser Banner is stamped on the front toggle. The left side of the barrel extension and the left side of the breechblock have partial single Nazi "Eagle/N" commercial proofs. The full serial number (8046y) is stamped on the front of the frame and not on the barrel. Serial number (8046) is stamped on the left side of the barrel extension, and the last two digits (46) are on the various small parts. It is complete with one "fxo/Eagle 37" marked magazine.

Very fine with 95% of the blue finish overall, showing wear on the edges and high spots with numerous scattered areas of pin-prick porosity pitting on the front toggle, mixed with numerous small minor nicks in the blue finish. The grips are fine with sharp checkering showing minor nicks and dings overall. A nice example of a very late production "42" dated Mauser Banner Luger pistol.
