Manufactured during the final days of the Portuguese monarchy, between 1908 (the ascension of King Manuel II) and 1910 (the deposition of Manuel II and the establishment of the Republic of Portugal). Fixed sights, with the "crown/M2" royal cipher on the chamber, three "circled triangle" army acceptance marks on the extension, barrel and frame, and a "DWM" front toggle link. The extractor is marked "CARREGADA", and the lower safety marking is polished blank. Fitted with straw finished small parts, checkered grips and a nickel magazine with a "circled triangle" stamped hardwood base.

Very good, with 50% of the arsenal refurbished blue finish, showing areas of mixed brown and gray patina, bright edge wear and scattered spotting and handling marks. Some shallow pitting is visible on the muzzle and grip safety. The heavily worn grips are good, with some flat spots and wear. Mechanically functions fine, but grip safety spring is broken and does not rebound safety.
