Fixed sights, with "42" date on the chamber and "byf" manufacturer code on the toggle. The barrel extension is marked with a pair of "eagle/135" proofs and an "eagle/ swastika" proof, which is repeated on the barrel and breechblock. Excluding the "fxo" magazine, external numbers match. Marked "P.08" on the side, with a full blue finish and black plastic grips. Included with the pistol is an extra "fxo" magazine (also unnumbered), a faintly stamped takedown tool and a black leather holster marked "WaA416" and "KIMNACH U BRUNN/KAISERSLAUTERN/1940" on the back. Included with the pistol is a European Theater capture document, made out for this pistol (by number, sans suffix) and a batch of German optics to a Sergeant Clarence W. Meyers from an officer of the 445th Anti-Aircraft Artillery (Automatic Weapon) Battalion; records show the 445th AAA AW as a component of V Corps, which participated in the Omaha Beach Landing, the Liberation of Paris, and the Battle of the Bulge before meeting up with the Soviets in Saxony.

Excellent, with 97% plus of the original blue finish, showing some bright holster wear and handling marks. The grips are very fine with some chipping on the bottom of the right panel and mild scattered dings. The oil soaked holster is very good and shows light scuffing, as well as some pencil marks on the rear. Mechanically excellent.
