This is an experimental prototype Trooper MKIII double action revolver of the J-frame series kept by the Colt factory. The included Colt factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, barrel length, blue finish with casehardened hammer, experimental status and checkered varnished walnut service grips with nickel finish Rampant Colt medallions. The revolver is completely absent of maker, model and caliber markings, with the serial numbered stamped on the butt and "33" stamped on the crane.

Excellent, retaining 97% original blue finish with some scattered minor scratches and a strong cylinder drag line, along with some minor oxidation under the grips. The hammer retains most of the case colors, with a purple cast to the trigger. The grips are very good with some minor dings and scratches, and overall crisp checkering.
