Standard markings and "crown/V" proofs on the water table, matching visible serial numbers, knurled hammers and lever, and sliding hammer safeties. The locks are marked "J. MACNAUGHTON". Checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with blank initial oval and serrated horn buttplate. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 3/4 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches.

Good. 60% of the dark period refinished blue finish remains overall with areas of visible pitting, rounded edges, buffed light markings, and small scratches and dings throughout. The wood is also good with worn checkering, small chips around the edges, numerous dings and dents, repaired spots where it looks like sling swivels have been removed, and freshened varnish. Mechanically fine.
