This very fine cased matched pair features single bead sights on smooth concave ribs, standard maker's mark on the right barrel, "ESPECIALLY MADE FOR T.A. DARNALL" on the left, standard markings and Spanish proofs on the flats, automatic ejectors, and side clips at the breech. The tops of the ribs are marked with "1" and "2" respectively, as are the break levers. The receiver and lock plates have full coverage fine floral engraving with "ARTURO/FERNANDEZ/MADRID" in banners, hand detachable locks, gold lined cocking indicators, dual gold washed triggers, and automatic tang safety. Checkered splinter forearm with engraved fittings and straight grip stock with checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements for gun "1" are: 3 inch chambers; improved cylinder/improved modified chokes; bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .731/.731 inch; minimum wall thickness .029/.029 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches. With unmarked leather bound takedown case with cleaning tools.

Excellent. 99% original blue finish remains with some small dings on the rib and mild handling marks. The wood is also excellent with crisp checkering and some small dings on the butt. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with some scuffs and storage marks.
