Manufactured in 1939 and subsequently elaborately embellished by a master engraver who has signed the left side of the receiver "DT," possibly for Master Engraver Denise Thirion. The receiver sides feature beautiful, high quality scrollwork and detailed bird dog hunting scenes. The scrollwork extends to the takedown collar and trigger guard. The shotgun also has duel bead sights on a Simmons vent rib, full choke, jeweled bolt, and highly figured and checkered forearm and straight grip stock with checkered bare butt. Stock measurements: drop at comb 1 inch, drop at heel 1 7/8 inches, and length of pull 14 inch inches.

Very fine overall as elaborately engraved, retaining 99% plus of the blue finish and showing a small patch of pitting under the finish on the barrel, light handling evidence, and highly figured walnut custom made stock with crisp stock/forearm checkering. Mechanically excellent.
