Manufactured in 1962 and subsequently upgraded to the current configuration. Double bead sights on the matte vent rib, standard barrel markings (including the Winchester oval proof on top of the receiver and barrel off set to the left at the breech), 3 inch chamber, and skeet choke. The underside of the receiver is marked "DELUXE" directly under the serial number. Jeweled bolt and follower. Mounted with select walnut diamond pattern checkered extended forearm and pistol grip stock with a metal grip cap and checkered Winchester buttplate. 2 inch drop at comb, 3 inch drop at heel, and 14 1/4 inch length of pull. Comes with a reproduction box with end label verifying the features, instructions and hanging tag also stamped "SELECT WOOD" and "SPECIAL/DELUXE".

Near mint as upgraded with 99% plus blue finish remaining, showing some very light wear on the magazine tube ahead of the forearm. The wood is as new. Sharp markings. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good. An exceptionally attractive Winchester Deluxe Grade style Model 42 shotgun.
