This is a beautiful example of an engraved and gold inlaid Winchester Model 21 Grand American style shotgun. This shotgun has two barrel sets, 410 and 28 gauge. Both sets of barrels are numbered to the gun, have a single red bead sight on a matte vent rib, a 3 inch wedge of floral scroll engraving on the breech end of the barrels, are Winchester proof steel, have jeweled flats and lugs, are choked improved cylinder/modified, and have ejectors. They are numbered "1" (28) and "2" (410) and have there own fancy fleur-de-lis checkered walnut forearm with ebony forend insert, engraved and jeweled hardware, are numbered "1" and "2", and are numbered to the gun on the metal and on the wood. Both are marked with the model, maker/trade mark, gauge and chamber size on the top of the left barrel near the breech. The 28 gauge set has 2 3/4 inch chambers, and the 410 has 3 inch chambers. Bore diameter of the 28 gauge barrels in .550/.550 and wall thickness is .035/.035. The receiver, break lever and trigger guard are engraved with floral scroll patterns. The left side of the receiver has a gold inlaid hunting dog in a mountain field scene, the right side has a gold inlaid dog in the same type of scene, the underside has two gold inlaid pheasants in a wooded mountain field scene, and there is a gold inlaid dog's head in a round panel on the trigger guard. Single gold trigger with selector, tang mounted automatic safety with gold "SAFE", and mounted with a fancy fleur-de-lis checkered walnut pistol grip stock with gold inlaid "GRAND/AMERICAN" on the lightly engraved, gold wire border inlaid grip cap, a checkered bare butt and gold initial oval. Drop at the heel is 2 1/8 inches, drop at the heel is 1 3/8 inches, and the length of pull is 14 1/4 inches. Overall weight 7.74 pounds, (410). Comes in a leather bound takedown hardcase with leather corner protectors, straps and handle and wine colored felt lining, and outer case for the hard case. In the case are 2 nickel snap caps for each gauge, a nickel oiler, a two piece wooded cleaning rod, cleaning rod attachments in a leather case and key.

Near new with only light handling/storage marks. The case is excellent and the outer cover is good with some wear on the leather trim.
