Manufactured from 1909-1915. This is a desirable target variation (pinned beaded blade front and full adjustable "V" notch rear sights) with rare 6 1/2 inch barrel. Standard barrel lengths were 2, 4, 5, or 6 inches. Barrel has the two-line address/patent dates on top and caliber marking on the left. Matching serial numbers on butt, barrel, and cylinder. Right grip panel numbered to a different gun. Comes with a later period S&W .38 M&P gold box, bore brush, and "Helpful Hints" pamphlet.

Very fine as professionally refinished, retaining 99% plus of the blue finish showing traces of pitting under the finish. The grips are excellent with crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with a tear and some minor creases and wear.
