The revolver features a beautiful scroll engraving on a punch dot background accented with seven high relief gold inlaid depictions of various wildlife on the frame and barrel. The engraving covers nearly all of the surfaces. The revolver is unsigned but the work is definitely of the hand of a supremely talented master engraver. On of the most outstanding engraved and gold inlaid S&Ws this expert cataloguer has observed in the past 35 years. The smooth grips have diamond inlays.
