This is the sixth gun of 25 high end versions manufactured to commemorate the end of Charlton Heston's term as the President of the National Rifle Association in 2003. The first gun was reportedly presented to Heston, and the man who ordered these revolvers kept the second. It has "NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION" in a banner on the left side of the barrel, traditional American engraving consisting primarily of scrollwork, Heston's signature in gold inlay along the back strap and "PRESIDENT/1998-2003" on the butt, special commemorative serial number, "D" superimposed over a "T" marking on the left side rear of the trigger guard, standard factory markings, "CH" carved on the left grip and "NRA" on the right, and gold bands at the muzzle, breech, and rear of the cylinder. It comes with a matching factory sleeve and blue box, a leather bound "Bill of Right" book style display case with silver dummy bullets with Heston's signature and "SILVER/BULLET/BRIGADE" on the sides and "AMERICA'S/NRA" headstamps, a facsimile of the Bill of Rights produced by Historical Documents Co. and signed by Heston, and a outer shipping box containing the whole lot marked in pen "For: Alan Cors (sic)." Allan Cors served as the NRA's 63rd President in 2015-2017. It was shipped to Accuracy Clinic in Rockville, Maryland.
