Issued in 1968, this is one of only 25 custom deluxe World War I Belleau Wood Model 1911 commemorative pistols the Colt factory contracted for engraving and gold inlay exclusively by Master Engraver Alvin White. These pistols are found in the 101BW to 125BW serial number range. The embellishment incorporates extensive engraved scrollwork, 25k gold inlaid bands on both sides of the slide, an inscribed commemorative banner outlined in gold on the right side of the slide, an engraved battle scene on the left side of the slide and the serial number in gold on the right side of the frame. The right side of the grip frame has Alvin White's gold inlaid signature cartouche. Also includes a shipping box.

Near new, with only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent with some scattered light handling/storage marks.
