Stevens Ideal "Modern Range" No. 47 Single Shot Rifle

Manufactured from 1896-1916, globe front sight (sight insert absent), Vernier peep sight, set trigger, smooth Schnabel forearm and pistol grip stock, and Swiss buttplate. Matching numbers are found on the lower tang, barrel, and buttplate.

ConditionFine. The barrel retains 85% partially refinished blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The remaining metal surfaces retain 80% original case colors. The wood is very fine with a couple hairline cracks near the upper tang, a long crack on the forearm, and some minor dings and scratches. The action needs work (hammer does not hold at the half cock position).
