These pistols were manufactured by Joseph & William Richards around 1808-1810 and have "I.&W. RICHARDS" on the left side of the actions, "LONDON" on the right sides, both sides accented by flags and floral patterns, London proof and view marks at the breech, under barrel folding "snap bayonets" with 4 3/8 inch blades, plain walnut grips with silver escutcheons, and cannon style brass barrels with .88 bores at the muzzle and approximately .60 caliber main bores.

Very good with attractively aged patina, some small pits, scattered minor marks and scratches, faded but legible markings, dark brown patina on most of the iron components other than the bayonet which is bright, and some minor pitting. The refinished grip is also very good and has numerous light scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.

Very good with attractively aged patina on the brass, loose front ramrod pipe, minor fading of the markings which remain legible, aged patina on the silver, brown patina on most of the iron other than the bright bayonet, spots of mild pitting, and a few general nicks and scratches. The refinished grip is also very good and has scattered scratches and small dents. Mechanically fine.
