Description:

These pistols are standard examples of the Model An. XIII pistols manufactured by the French arsenals in 1806-1814 and used primarily in the Napoleonic Wars. "A" is dated "1811" and has a Jean-Baptiste Hardy poincon.

Rating Definition:

Fair with mostly brown patina on the iron, patches of mild pitting, aged patina on the brass, the top jaw absent, broken jaw screw, partially worn markings, surfaces flaking on the wood, and general moderate marks and scratches. Mechanically fine.

Rating Definition:

Good with brown patina and oxidation on the iron, aged patina on the brass, deep cut semi-oval section on the left flat, minor marks and scratches throughout, and moderate overall wear. Mechanically fine.
