Manufactured c. the early 19th century. It features an 1 1/4 muzzle opening (gauge estimated above), dual gold bands inlaid at the breech, 10 1/2 inch folding bayonet, "Davidson" marked lock with half cock sliding safety, silver wedge escutcheons and thumb plate, iron furniture, and checkered wrist.

Fair as reconverted to flintlock configuration with dark brown patina, faint Damascus patterns, repair by the base of the bayonet lug, generally mild pitting, some heavier pitting on the hammer and breech section, and absent trigger guard finial. The stock is fair and has fairly crisp checkering with some smoothing, several cracks, spliced left flat, and mild scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.
