This dragoon size pepperbox has casehardened ribbed and fluted barrels with light engraving at the muzzles and Birmingham proofmarks, elaborate scrollwork engraving on the German silver action, "J.R. COOPER'S/PATENT" in a banner at the top of the back strap, a casehardened grip cap with a cap compartment, "John Jones Newton le Willons" inscribed on the front strap, finely checkered walnut grips, and niter blue breech ring, sliding safety, and ring trigger.

Fine with 60% original casehardened finish, 70% original niter blue, mottled brown and gray patina on the faded areas, mild aged patina on the action, and minor oxidation and marks. The grips are fine with mostly crisp fine checkering, a chip near the heel on the left, and minor scuffs and dings. Mechanically excellent.
