Description:

350,000 Model 1816 muskets were manufactured at the arsenal at Harper's Ferry. This Type III Model 1816 is dated "1838" on the lock and barrel tang and has the standard markings and features. A "US/EB" marked socket bayonet is included.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall with a mix of brown and gray patinas, mild pitting mostly at the breech, and scattered scratches and dings on the metal and wood. Mechanically fine.
