Description:

Marked with Cyrillic markings for Tula including the city symbol on top of the barrel. The main components have the matching serial number. It has mostly standard Colt Model 1851 Navy type features, but the grip shape is different as are some of the contours and the screws enter from the right. The hammer shows more of the upright "swoop" characteristic of Russian Colts. Tula was one of 15 Russian manufacturers producing copies of Colt revolvers. This revolver is featured on the website www.russianrevolvers.com. Provenance: Joe Leiper Collection.

Rating Definition:

Fair as altered and pitted with mostly gray patina, aged patina on the grip frame, moderate overall wear, chipping on the grip, re-attached loading lever stud, and absent lanyard swivel. Mechanically needs work.
