Description:

The Model 1861 was the main weapon of the Union Army during the Civil War. This standard example is dated "1862" on the lock and barrel and includes a "U.S." marked socket bayonet.

Rating Definition:

Very good with a mottled mix of light gray and dark brown patina, some bright areas, scattered extensive spots of moderate pitting, and general marks and scratches. The stock is also very good and has scattered minor scrapes and dings. The bayonet has mottled gray and brown patina. Mechanically excellent.
