This 1939 dated Mauser Banner Police Luger pistol has the scarce early "Eagle/K" police proof. The chamber area is dated "1939", and the front toggle has the "Mauser Banner" logo. The "Eagle/K" police proof is stamped on the right side of the receiver, with the "crown/crown/U" commercial proofmark stamped on the left side of the receiver and the breechblock. The sear safety spring is present over the side plate, and no cuts have been made for a magazine well safety. External numbers are matching overall, with "7254/v" and "7245/v/+" on the alloy magazine bases. The holster is Otto Sindel production, 1939 dated with a faint "eagle" stamp, a number for another pistol and a small unmarked takedown tool.

Fine, with 70% of the original blue finish, showing an artificial spotted brown patina on the grip straps, the start of a plum patina on the receiver, bright edge/cycling wear, and minor spotting and handling marks overall. The grips are very good, with a thin chip absent near the safety and a few light dings and spots of verdigris. The holster is good, with some cracks and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
