Manufactured in 1889. Dual bead sights on the unmarked matte rib with 3 inch chambers, automatic ejectors, and modified/full marked chokes. The marked chokes, ejectors, and lack of markings on the barrel rib indicate the barrels were manufactured at a later date (likely by Remington) and numbered to the frame. The receiver features fine scroll engraving surrounding hunting dog scenes on the sides and bottom with dual triggers and automatic thumb safety. Checkered splinter forearm with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with blank initial shield and oval, and leather faced Hawkins vented recoil pad. Length of pull is 13 1/2 inches.

Good as assembled, refinished, and stock repaired. The barrels have 95% of the blue finish remaining with some light surface scratches and forearm wear. The receiver has a mostly gray patina with traces of original case colors in the protected areas, sharp engraving, handling marks, and some small tool marks on the screws. The forearm fittings have been re-case colored. The wood is fair with moderately worn checkering, dings and dents throughout, and the buttstock replaced from the grip area back to the butt. Mechanically very good.
