This is a beautiful example of a John Bolliger custom rifle. Fitted with a tapered barrel manufactured without sights. There is a double gold inlaid wire bands around the muzzle and breech, as well as small wedges of silver inlaid floral scroll designs. The left side at the breech is engraved "Three Thirty Eight" in cursive over "WINCHESTER MAGNUM" and "John Bolliger" in cursive over "RIFLEMAKER" on the right side. The top of the barrel near the breech has silver inlaid banners which read "Giant Sable Magnum Rifle/SAFARI CLUB INTERNATIONAL/UTAH SABLES 1998". The receiver and scope rings are decorated with silver inlaid floral scroll engraving with gold inlaid wire bordering and accents. There is gold inlaid accents on the bolt handle. The hinged floor plate is beautifully decorated with silver inlaid floral scroll designs, an oval panel with a gold inlaid sable and gold inlaid wire bordering. The attaching iron has light silver and gold inlays and is signed "DAN PAUL" ahead of the floor plate. The trigger guard is decorated with silver inlaid floral scroll and gold inlaid wire bordering. The receiver is equipped with a Swarovski Z6 2-12x50 scope. Jeweled follower (also marked "338 WIN MAG"), bolt and extractor. Mounted with a extra fancy fleur-de-lis checkered pistol grip stock with ebony forend, gold inlaid relief engraved grip cap, sling swivel bases with checker board engraving and gold inlaid wire border, cheek piece and Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad.

Excellent overall with 99% plus original finish remaining. The stock shows only light handling/storage marks and sharp checkering. The scope is as new. The action is excellent.
