Description:

Both feature nickel finished hilts with oak leaf decoration, horn grip panels with the "Nazi Police Eagle" badge on the right panel, eagle-head pommel and a leather sheath with nickel fittings. 1) Eickhorn police dagger, 17 3/8 inches overall, 12 7/8 inch blade, "L.Me.255."(Rural Constabulary, Merseburg District) marked guard and sheath throat, and a brown leather sheath and frog. 2) Hoerster police dagger, 17 3/4 inches overall, 13 inch blade, "S.D.III.74."(Security Police, Duesseldorf) marked guard and sheath throat, and a painted sheath

Rating Definition:

1) Very fine with some wear on the police eagle, minor spotting, and some scuffing of the leather. Blade is bright. 2) Very good, with mild spotting and dings overall. Areas near the tip of the blade have been polished, and the sheath shows scuffing and dents.
