Manufactured in 1911, with a "SA/4-11" marked barrel, blade front and ladder rear sights, standard markings on the receiver ring, and a blued bolt marked "D" on the underside of the rear lug. Smooth straight wrist stock, with "H" on the underside of the bayonet lug, circled script "P" behind the trigger guard, single reinforcing bolt, "J.F.C." cartouche on the left side, brown leather sling and a sharply checkered steel buttplate. Included with the rifle is a 1908 dated Rock Island bayonet, 20 1/2" overall with a 16" bright steel blade, wood grip, and leather covered sheath.

Very fine, with 85% plus of the bright original finish overall, showing some bright wear on the front sight base and extractor, spots of brown patina on the barrel band, and mild handling marks. The stock is also very fine, with minor dings, and the leather shows some light cracks and verdigris. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is fine, with some light dings and scuffs.
