Description:

This excellent example of a late war M1 carbine features an Inland barrel dated "1-45" standard winged blade front sight, type 3 barrel band/bayonet lug, low wood handguard, flat belly stock, standard chamber markings, blue round top bolt, "M" marked magazine catch, smooth push button safety, milled trigger guard, and late style stamped adjustable rear peep sight. The stock is stamped with the Ordnance Department "crossed cannons" on the right and "IO" on the left in the sling cutout. With canvas web sling. Includes the original February 13, 1946, Ordnance Department bill of sale listing the carbine by serial number as being sold to 2nd Lieutenant Wilfred J. Bouquet for the sum of $64.00. This is extremely rare as writer cannot recall ever seeing another.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. 98% plus original parkerized finish remains with minor cycling marks visible on the correct blued bolt body. The wood is also excellent with sharp markings and some small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. If you want to own one late-war M1 Carbine, here it is!
