Manufactured by Remington for the United States Army in World War II. The sights are properly absent from the barrel and receiver, with "R A/bomb/9-43" on the barrel and the receiver bearing the properly offset "U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3" marking on the left side of the receiver ring. The bolt shows "R" markings on multiple parts, with a standard 03-A3 profile safety lever and an A4 pattern contoured bolt handle. The scope is a parkerized Weaver M73B1 fitted to a Redfield base with a set of twist-off rings. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a circled "P" behind the trigger guard, "RA", "crossed cannons" and "FJA" on the on the left side ahead of the wrist, "RIA/EB" on the buttstock and a flat checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with 97% plus of the arsenal parkerized finish, showing some light handling marks and edge wear overall. The bolt shows some light spotting, and some shallow pitting is present on the scope tube, which has clear optics, solid crosshairs and adjustments in good order. The stock is also very fine, with some mild dents and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
