Blacked barrels respectively engraved "WR .318 ACCELERATED EXPRESS" and "37/250 GRS" on the tubes and with scroll engraved concave rib signed "WESTLEY RICHARDS 23 CONDUIT ST. LONDON. GUN MAKERS BY APPOINTMENT TO H.M. THE KING". Block mounted bead front sight with flip up moon sight and blued hinged tunnel cover. Matted quarter rib engraved with scrollwork on the ramp and doll's head extension, and with rear express sight of one fixed and four folding leaves graduated from "100 YDS" to "500 YDS", each leaf with platinum inlaid center line. Casehardened scroll engraved action signed "WESTLEY RICHARDS" on each side and with striker discs respectively marked "R" and "L", engraved "WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT ONE TRIGGER" above the blued top lever, and blued automatic safety with gold inlaid "SAFE" with blued manual safety bolt with gold inlaid "BOLTED". Blued hinged floor plate engraved with further scrollwork and a vignette of an Indian gazelle at a watering hole, bright engine turned locks respectively inlaid with a gold "R" and "L". Casehardened trigger plate with blued selector catch and inlaid with gold "L" and "R". Blued trigger guard engraved with a tiger, and casehardened pistol grip cap with hinged trap cover, the trap containing two spare front sight elements and two spare strikers. Well figured 14 1/4 inch pistol grip stock including 5/8 inch rubber recoil pad, raised cheekpiece with beaded edge, finely checkered grip, forearm and panels behind the action. The underside of the butt inset with a large gold escutcheon, and blued iron sling mounts. Weight: 9 lbs. 6 oz., Birmingham nitro proof marks for 37 grs Cordite and 250 grs bullet.

Excellent with 98% original blue on the barrels. Action retaining 98% original strong casehardened finish with crisp engraving. The floorplate and trigger guard retaining much original blued finish, engraving crisp and clear. Stock with minor age related storage and handling blemishes, checkering crisp.
