Blacked "PARKERIFLED" tubed barrels signed "J. MACNAUGHTON, EDINBURGH" on the raised partially matted rib. Ramp mounted bead front sight and rear sight of one fixed and one folding leaf respectively graduated for "40" and "100" yards and each with platinum inlaid center line. Blued rounded border engraved action signed "J. MACNAUGHTON" on each side within a ribbon, the upper tang with crystal cocking indicator window, long pierced top lever and safety catch formed as a thistle head. Blued border engraved trigger plate and trigger guard. Well figured 14 1/4 inch stock with checkered grip and forearm, the butt fitted with a partially checkered dark horn plate and the underside of the butt with a vacant silver escutcheon. Weight: 5 lbs. 7 oz. Birmingham reproof marks. In maker's canvas and leather case lined in burgundy colored baize, with oil bottle and brushes and a mop for a cleaning rod. The lid of the case has a James MacNaughton & Sons trade label.

Fine as professionally refinished throughout, barrels tubed with Parkerifled inserts to .297/.250 Rook during its working life. Metal parts retaining nearly all the renewed finish that on the barrels is fading to a plum color. Mechanically needs work. Stock refinished, checkering crisp, pinned beneath tail of the upper tang.
