This fine rifle was manufactured by John C. Winslow's Winslow Arms (1963-1975) in Osprey, Florida, where they did their best work. Their rifles are known for their brilliant high polish finish and outstanding embellished stocks which often included finely detailed checkering, carving, and inlays by master level carvers Nils O. Hultgren and Art D. Kroll. Florida Governor Haydon Burns and President Lyndon B. Johnson are both known to have been presented Winslow rifles. As the company no longer exists, their fine custom rifles are highly sought after today. This rifle is built on a Fabrique Nationale Mauser action with a tapered barrel without sights, and standard FN proofs and markings on the receiver. It has a jeweled bolt, extractor, and follower. The stock is in the Winslow signature style with deeply cut basket weave checkering with leafy scroll carved accents, contrasting white and black inlays on the grip cap and stock sides, and the Winslow logo on the underside of the forearm. Features a swept pistol grip and high comb roll-over cheekpiece with a vented rubber recoil pad.

Excellent. 95% plus original high polish, dark blue finish remains with a few light handling marks and some minor scratches. The stock is also excellent with sharp carving, attractive grain, and scattered dings. Mechanically excellent.
