Manufactured in 1922, this pistol has been professionally assembled and embellished, with "EVANS" marked below the grip panel (not documented but possibly Master Engraver Robert Evans). Fine silver scroll inlay is present on the slide and frame, with fine line gold borders. The original markings are present, and the overall finish is a fine deep high polish blue. Grips are smooth mother of pearl, and the magazine is marked "CAL.38/COLT" and accented with a thin engraved border around the floorplate. Included with the pistol is a black leatherette case, with a "serpentine C" Colt logo on the interior, containing the pistol, a box of Peters smokeless rustless 38 ACP cartridges, and a blued steel 3-headed round screwdriver.

Very fine as custom embellished, with 98% of the high quality blue, showing some areas of sub-surface pitting and mild handling marks overall. The slide is renumbered to match the frame, with both showing strong inlay and fine detail in the silver. Grips are also very fine with a few light handling marks, and the case shows some rubbing and wear. Mechanically excellent.
