The factory letter lists this revolver with a 7 1/2 inch barrel, blue finish, and rubber grips when it was shipped to Genes Sporting Center in Hollywood, Florida, on May 19, 1970, as part of a pair. It has a nickel plated cylinder, hammer, trigger, and back strap; otherwise, it has standard markings and features. The cylinder is correctly marked "M540" on the front, and the matching full serial number is on the grip straps and frame. The assembly number "829" is on the loading gate and rear of the frame.

Excellent overall as altered (barrel) with 98% plus original blue and casehardened finish, nearly all of the lightly frosted nickel plating, light scratches and handling marks, flash marks and drag lines on the cylinder, and light edge wear. Mechanically excellent.
