Established in the 1930's as a subgroup of the Deutsch Arbeitsfront , Kraft durch Freude (KdF, "Strength through Joy") was a party-run vacation and leisure service, and would become the largest tourism organization in the world before it was shut down in 1939. Blade and tangent sights, with the caliber and address on the barrel, the KdF symbol on the chamber over "EIGENTUM DES SPORTAMTES" (property of the office for sport), and "Buscher Sportmodell" over ""Kraft durch Freude"" behind the ejector port. Smooth straight grip stock, with a brown leather sling and a flat buttplate.

Fine. 70% plus original polished blue finish remains with numerous scattered areas of spotting and light pitting, very clear markings, and a mostly brown patina on the bolt handle and trigger guard. The stock is also fine with small dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
