Description:

This is a very fine example of a standard early post-war commercial Model 1896 Mauser Bolo semi-automatic pistol. The top of the chamber has the three line factory markings of: "WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N" and the right side of the frame is marked with the two line markings of "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER/OBERNDORF A.NECKAR". The top left flat of the chamber area is stamped with the a single "Crown/U" proof, with the serial number on the left side. It has the shallow milled, frame panels on the sides with the left rear side stamped with the small Mauser Banner logo. It is fitted with the small ring, "NS" marked hammer. The barrel is fitted with the short 4 inch barrel with the fixed inverted "v" front sight with the adjustable tangent rear sight graduated from 50-1000 meters. It is fitted with ribbed walnut grips and has a lanyard stud and ring on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 90% finish overall with edges and high spot wear overall with blue loss on the lower front edges of the magazine well, the underside of the muzzle and barrel area and the grip straps. The grips are in fine condition with distinct ribbing showing light handling marks on the sides and some scattered moderate pressure dents/gouges on the left side.
