Description:

Introduced in 1920, the Model 8 was Walther's first post-war handgun, and in many ways is a forerunner of the legendary PP and PPK pistols. Blade front and notch rear sights, left side of the slide is marked with "Walther's Patent Mod 8." over a Walther banner, the Zella-Mehlis address on the right side of slide, "crown/N" proofs, and a set of smooth mother of pearl grips with "CW" and "6.35" medallions. Two magazines (one blue, one nickel) are included, and a brown leather Albrecht Kind holster; "LT.FRED N. MILLER/O1D19189" is ink stamped on top of the flap. Lieutenant Miller has not been positively identified. This pistol can be seen on page 51 of "Walther Volume III: 1908-1980" by James Rankin.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 97% plus of the original nickel finish, showing some small flaking along the edges and grip straps, and mild handling marks overall. The grips are excellent, with a few light scuffs. The holster shows some stains and cracks, but is fine overall. Mechanically excellent.
