Manufactured in 1943, with markings consistent with having been delivered to the British via London as part of the Lend-Lease Program. Fixed sights, with the two-line, two-block Colt address and patent markings on the left side of the matching numbered slide, "P" on top and a "G.H.D." inspected frame with "M/VP" and "55" marked trigger guard. A set of London "crown/GP" proofs are present on the right side of the slide and frame, with a Nitro stamp and tonnage marks on the barrel. Fitted with a milled short trigger, wide knurled hammer, checkered slide catch and thumb safety, long grip safety, checkered arched mainspring housing, reinforced Keyes Fiber grips, "S" marked full blue magazine and a "COLT 45 AUTO"/large "G" marked barrel. With an extra magazine marked "COLT/45 AUTO" and an unmarked British-style tan canvas web belt holster.

Very fine with 75% of the original parkerized finish, showing bright edge wear, the start of a brown and gray patina on the grip straps, mild takedown lines and light handling marks overall. The grips are very good, with some dings and dark spots. The holster shows a few light stains and rubs. Mechanically excellent.
