It has a standard post-war walnut stock with a DOD acceptance cartouche on the side and a walnut front and rear handguard set. The buttstock is fitted with a "MRT/2-52" leather cheekpad with a standard checkered steel buttplate. The rifle is complete with a standard M84 sniper scope that is marked on the nomenclature plate with "TELESCOPE/M84/SERIAL NO.8045". The scope has a sliding metal sunshield, a rubber eyepiece, and the standard post and crosshair reticle. The rifle is complete with green web sling, a winter trigger assembly, and a T-37 prong type flash hider.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as assembled, (possibly outside of an Army depot) with 95% of the current parkerized finish remaining overall with a light colored receiver with a dark parkerized barrel finish. The stock and handguard set is in very fine condition with nice clear distinct cartouches on the side, with a dark walnut colored tone overall, except the rear handguard which is lighter in color. The scope and mount are both in excellent condition with the scope having 95% blue finish overall with clear optics. This rifle does not come with any CMP documentation or paper work. A very nice representative example of a Springfield Armory marked M1D sniper rifle.
