According to the included factory letter, this revolver was shipped as a single item to the Holle Hardware Company of Brenham, Texas on February 10, 1936. The letter verifies the caliber, finish, and the five inch barrel, with the grips "Not Listed", per tradition. Fixed sights, with the two line address and patent dates on top of the barrel and "NEW SERVICE .38 SPECIAL" on the left, "VP" and "3" on the left side of the trigger guard, and the Rampant Colt on the side plate. Fitted with a pair of checkered medallion grips.

Very fine, with 98% of the original blue finish, showing some scattered light specks of surface rust and handling marks overall, bright edge wear, and a spot of light pitting on front edge of cylinder. The grips are excellent, with some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
