Manufactured in 1906, this is an early production Pocket Positive transition revolver, the successor to the New Pocket. "COLT'S/NEW POCKET" around the Rampant Colt is correctly stamped on the left side plate, and the Pocket Positive model marking is correctly stamped on the right side of the barrel. Fitted with checkered walnut grips which were produced in limited quantities. A handwritten note kept under the grip panels reads, "This police arm belongs to E.A. Breunig, deputy sheriff, Orange County, Calf., U.S.A." We will allow the reader to make up his/her own mind on the validity of this claim. Includes Pocket Positive box numbered to a different gun.

Excellent, retaining 95% original bright high polish blue finish with the balance thinning to a brown. The grips are also excellent with some minor handling evidence, crisp checkering overall, and retaining most of the original finish. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with repaired lid corners.
