Confirmed by the included factory letter this pistol was an experimental prototype kept by the Colt factory without model, maker, logo, or caliber markings. The letter also confirms the caliber, barrel length, finish and checkered black composition grips with large "C" Colt logo. As stated, the serial number on the right side of frame is the only marking. Fixed sights with white dots. Magazine absent.

Very good. The pistol has numerous minor handling marks and some blue coloration on left side of frame below slide. The grips are also very good with numerous minor handing marks. Overall the checkering is crisp.
