With narrow base textured ramp front and Micro adjustable rear notch sights, correct early style flat top frame, type 2 ejector rod housing, type 1 serrated head ejector rod, serrated blue hammer with polished sides, and first style aluminum alloy grip frame. The grips frame is black anodized, and the remaining components are blue. The frame and loading gate are an attractive plum tint, often seen on early production Ruger revolvers. This coloration was so common in fact, that for a time Ruger would issue a disclaimer regarding the color in the boxes for new shipped revolvers. Very good. 90% plus original blue and black finish remains with areas of edge wear, (primarily the muzzle and front edge of the cylinder). bright marks at the cylinder stops, small nicks and surface scratches, and dings on the grip frame. The grips have aged and faded to an attractive chocolate brown. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with some corner and edge wear, and storage marks.
