Manufactured in 1903, this is an excellent example of a Colt Thunderer revolver. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address, the left side is marked "COLT D.A.41", and the left side of the frame is marked with the three line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. Matching serial number on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. The loading gate is marked with the assembly number "505". Blue finish with casehardened frame and niter blue trigger, screws and hammer with polished sides on the hammer. Fitted with finely checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top.

Excellent with 95% bright original high polish blue finish and 90% original bright case colors remaining. There is some minor oxidation on the underside of the barrel. 99% of the original fiery niter blue finish remains on the hammer, trigger and screw heads. The grips are also excellent with a couple of minor pressure marks and very crisp checkering. The action is locked up. The markings are crisp and clear. A super nice Colt Model 1877 Thunderer revolver.
