Manufactured between 1930 and 1938. According to the table on page 177 of "L.C. Smith Shotguns" by Brophy, 2,375 guns were manufactured in Field Grade configuration in .410 bore. This is the bulk of .410 production, but still only a small percentage when compared to overall production by Hunter Arms. Single steel bead sight on the solid matte rib barrels with 3 inch chambers, full/full chokes, single extractor, and the standard model and maker legends on the barrels just forward of the breech. Standard markings on the receiver with dual triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety. Fitted with a checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a serrated plastic buttplate. The stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 5/8 inches; drop at heel 2 5/8 inches; length of pull 13 7/8 inches.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrels have 97% plus period restored blue finish with some light wear visible around the muzzles, softened roll marks, and a few small visible dings. The action and locks have 80% original case colors with remnants of the protective varnish, and silvering out on the high edges. The wood is also very fine with some scattered small dings, a few edge chips on the forearm, and well defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
