The accompanying factory letter confirms the 3 1/4 inch barrel, nickel finish, and black hard rubber grips and states the revolver was part of a 100 unit shipment on October 28, 1879 and delivered to M.W. Robinson Co. of New York City, NY. Matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder, barrel and barrel latch. The French cut period retailer case is lined with royal purple velvet and contains a cartridge block holding 9 rounds and bore brush.

Excellent, retaining 97% original nickel finish with some scattered minor specks of dark corrosion. Mechanically functions fine but locks up intermittently. The case is very good with minor handling/storage marks and typical high spot wear and some fading on the lining.
