Manufactured for the U.S. military circa 1876-77 with a total production approximately 5,934. An encircled "T" is period non-factory carved on the left grip panel. Provenance: The Buckstix Collection

Rating Definition:

Very good, retaining 20% original blue finish in the protected areas, especially on the cylinder. 90% original nitre blue remains on the barrel latch assembly. Patterns of original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger guard. The grips are also very good with chipping along a high edge and minor handling marks. The cylinder does not lock properly, otherwise auction functions fine.
