Manufactured in 1911 with fixed sights, standard Colt address, caliber and patent markings on the barrel and the "C" backed Rampant Colt trademark on the left side of the frame. The underside of the barrel has the "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "R.A.C." (Rinaldo A. Carr) stamps. "R.A.C. is also stamped on the right side of the frame, the rear cylinder face, and bottom of each grip. "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1909/No/34/223" is marked on the butt around the lanyard swivel. This revolver is from the collection of world famous American country singer and song writer Hank Williams Jr. and includes a certificate of authenticity confirming his ownership. Very fine overall, retaining 85% plus original blue finish, moderate handling evidence, cylinder drag line, moderate patch of pitting visible on the trigger guard, and a few pressure marks in the otherwise fine grips. Mechanically excellent.
