Manufactured between 1929 and 1932, a unique venture for the Marlin Company, this lever action shotgun is based on the Model 1893 action with a longer loading port, modified tube magazine that holds 5 shots and a smoothbore barrel chambered for the .410 shot shell with modified choke. Unmarked barrel with a single bead front sight and "Marlin/410" marked on the upper tang. Mounted with a smooth finger groove forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered Marlin buttplate. Very fine, retaining 85% original blue on the barrel and receiver with handling marks, a few small spots of oxidation, and dents around the bottom receiver screw. The hammer and lever retain 40% original muted case colors with a dark gray patina on the balance. The wood is fine with most of the original varnish and scattered dings and dents. Mechanically excellent.
