This revolver was manufactured in the 1860s and is chambered for the 30 caliber cup primed front loading cartridge. The top of the barrel rib is marked "MERWIN & BRAY FIRE ARMS CO. N.Y." The left barrel flat is marked "MERWIN & BRAY NEW-YORK." Matching serial numbers are on the butt, both grip panels, barrel, and cylinder. The period partitioned case lined in red wine velvet contains a box for 30 caliber cup primed cartridges (two rounds included). Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel and cylinder retain 80% original blue finish. The frame retains 97% original silver plating. The grips are also very fine with a few minor handling marks and most of the original varnish remaining. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with minor handling/storage marks and some typical high spot wear on the lining. The cartridge box has a fine label with the sides torn.
