Manufactured by the Moore's Patent Firearms Company circa 1864 to 1870, this front loading revolver features about 25% coverage Nimschke-style floral scroll engraving on the frame. The top of the barrel is marked with the Moore's one-line address, and the cylinder is marked with the D. William's one-line patent date. The grips, side plate, hammer, and grip frame have matching "BS45" markings. Includes an unnumbered factory box. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 85% of the original blue finish and 95% plus of the original silver with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, most noticeably near the muzzle and the silver showing an attractive antique patina. The grips are also very fine with some light wear and retaining most of the original dark finish. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with some tears and tape repair.
